Black Friday is the best day of the year to buy a new computer. If your new computer happens to be VR-ready, you’ll likely be tempted to buy a virtual reality headset as well, and for two days only, you can get an HTC Vive at a discount.
If you buy a Vive on either Black Friday or Cyber Monday, you “can receive $100, £100, €100, or the equivalent local currency in your region off the price, or back through an in-store coupon,” while supplies last. This deal will be available at the following locations: Vive.com, Microsoft Stores, Amazon, GameStop, Newegg.com, Micro Center and, for the very first time, Fry’s.
HTC VIVE – Virtual Reality System: $699.99
In addition to the discount on the hardware itself, Vive is also hosting a sale on its Viveport app store throughout the entire holiday weekend. If you spend at least $30 between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, you’ll have $10 added to your wallet 10 days after the sale ends on November 28th.
Vive is also offering three of its most popular VR apps in a bundle for $5 during the holiday weekend, and the following 20 apps will be 50% off:
- A Chair in a Room: Greenwater
- Adventurous Life VR
- Apollo 11 VR
- C O S M Worlds Within Worlds
- Cloudlands: VR Minigolf
- Cmoar VR Cinema
