Samsung Galaxy S8 may feature edge-to-edge OLED display
According to a report by
the upcoming device might sport an edge-to-edge OLED display, with a high screen-to-body ratio. Further, Park Won-sang, an engineer at Samsung’s display
making unit told the publication, “Samsung Display would roll out a full-screen display whose display area ratio (a scale that measures space taken up
by a display on the front part of a handset) reaches more than 90 percent next year.” Wong-sang also showed a concept image of a full screen Galaxy S7
Edge, which lacked the home button on the bottom. He added that all the sensors, such as the fingerprint sensor, would be built under the display.
Even if Samsung launches the Galaxy S8 with a high screen-to-body ratio, it won’t be the first. Recently,
smartphone with a 91.3% screen-to-body ratio. The phone has no top bezel, and the proximity sensor and earpiece are located below the display. The front
camera is located below the display.

According to rumours, Vivo X9 and X9 Plus are expected to feature a 5.5-inch and 6-inch displays. The smartphones will get 4 or 6GB RAM and Qualcomm’s
latest Snapdragon 653 CPU. Vivo is expected to unveil the device at a special event on November 17.
