  1. Most modern electronics have protection against this type of ESD & etc, and how they respond to it is determined by the design. Computer motherboards usually have no protection against this type of stuff.

  2. All that "killer" usb stick is a usb port that isn't wired correctly. All it takes is a usb cord end with the wires connected together. Just touch each wire to the other wires until its dead lol. it will short out the board somehow if it is vulnerable. Possibly frying a vital PCB (the little wires in the motherboard).

  3. its not weird that it doesnt work on smartphones, that usb port is for charging as well, it's meant to handle electrical inputs, the reason it works on computers is because the usb port is not meant to handle charge there.

  4. How the fuck do you and other channels like Techrax and whatnot have the money to pay for all the shit you destroy? I now you can make a lot off of youtube but damn 500-700$ is a lotta money thrown down the drain. Least you could do is buy me one of those things. :P
